Now that birthdays and spring break are over, we spent the week getting back to the ol' routine. That means preschool, Kindermusik, errands, and Amelia's trip to the dentist. Also, we discovered Shirley Temple this week. We've watched "Heidi" and "Curly Top" and have been watching Shirley songs on youtube. Oh yes, and Amelia has spent hours painting with watercolors. Simone likes to dabble in it, too!
FINALLY some sunshine today meant that we could go to the park. Eat your heart out, Aunt Kate – you've got some serious cycling competition now! Amelia rode her bike all the way around Battlepoint (a little over a mile), then rode it up and down the path to the restrooms for another 40 solid minutes while Simone played on the playground. All in all, Amelia rode for a solid 1.25 hours! Then we made a very special trip to the cool candy store on the island because Amelia slept without her binky for the first time last night (dentist's orders)! She picked out a "lolli-copter" – a small lollipop on the bottom and a toy helicopter on top that spins around and lights up in the dark!
