The Girls both got the hair cut (about 3 inches for Simone!) and a balloon

One last shot from the beach…
Amelia got her first bee sting this week. She was a brave girl – didn't even cry! But the thing that made it all better is that a very special package showed up the same day… My friend from high school, Melissa McGlinn, was cleaning out her house and found a box of her old (now "vintage") Strawberry Shortcake dolls and sent them to the girls. (She has two darling boys, who I don't think will ever be interested in dolls) We opened the box at 1:30 pm and, I'm not exaggerating, she played with them until 8:30. She barely ate dinner (very unusual for Amelia) because she couldn't wait to get back to the SS dolls. Then, she lined them all up to sleep with them that night. So cute! She has been carrying them around ever since. THANK YOU MELISSA!!!!!!!!
Yesterday, the girls both got their hair cut. Simone got a lot cut. I kind of miss the long hair, but it's better for a two-year-old. Then, Aunt Shauna came again! She is here now and is here until Friday. She went to town on Amelia today; gave her a pedicure, first manicure (Mommy doesn't let Amelia have painted fingernails), and did this amazing fishnet thing to her hair. Amelia was in Auntie heaven!

Love the new hair-do's! Of course I think these are just about the cutest little girls this side of Colorado. I may be as grateful to Melissa as you are for sending the dolls since you "lost" yours.
What a special surprise from your friend Melissa! Your girls are so cute. I just love seeing how close they are. It reminds me of Susan and I. If she gets something, I have to go out and get it too! And vise a verse . I hope they remain close forever.
